These are the manual pages for C News proper; one or two other pages for auxiliary programs that you might want to install in their own right are scattered here and there in other directories. These pages use the .TH macro in the following way: .TH <chapter> "<date>" "C News" On some systems the last argument gets ignored, or put in a funny place in headers or footers. There is no portable fix, as people have messed with the -man macros in too many different ways. The only fonts used are the standard R, I, and B. If you do not have nroff/troff, there are various ways of reading this stuff. Note, in particular, that the Formatter Police are not going to come and drag you away for reading the raw sources, which are not very complicated or hard to read. If you absolutely can't read anything that isn't filled and justified, the awf text formatter (comp.sources.unix: Submitted-by: henry@zoo.toronto.edu Posting-number: Volume 23, Issue 27 Archive-name: awf on any comp.sources.unix archive site or ftp.cs.toronto.edu:pub/awf.shar.Z) does a good job on most of our documentation.
