Source for "inedit" ???

I have the binary for a presumably public domain program, "inedit".  It
is run with any other program as a front end --- it allows you
to edit the command history of, say, sdb; which doesn't have a command
history editor of its own built in.

Does anyone know where I can find this or a similar program in source?
