Subject:New Oberon-M (1.1)
Organization: Tandem Computers, Inc.

Despite the complaint that I received publicly in alt.sources from
one individual, several hundred people told me they were glad that
I posted the original Oberon-M compiler/documentation/sources
package here. Apparently many locations wanted to use Oberon, but
did not get all the newsgroups, or couldn't FTP, or something, and
alt.sources was their only way of getting things -- particularly
in the FIDOnet world.

So, somewhere following this note I am posting version 1.1 of
my Oberon-M package. It consists of 6 uuencoded files, and
instructions for unpacking are at the front of the first one.

For those of you who don't know, but are still interested,
Oberon is the latest in the Algol-Pascal-Modula language line
from Professor Niklaus Wirth. It has much cleaner, simpler,
non-hiding concepts than its ancestors, plus has a unique
type extension feature coupled with Object Oriented Programming
principles.

My Oberon-M package is for using Oberon as a language under
any MSDOS environment on an Intel 80x86 based machine.

Changes from version 1.1 include some changes to match
Professor Wirth's revisions, has increased source examples
to show off the new features, and better documentation.

So, if you want it, look for six files following this one.
Direct FTP is also available from a number of public locations.
Please see my upcoming posting in
comp.lang.modula2 or comp.compilers for a list of those
locations.
