Tom Plum, an ANSI X3J11 committee member, asked me yesterday to help get some
personal tools of his to the net for general use. On looking these over I
think that the comp.lang.c community will find them of major and immediate
interest.

I am, accordingly, posting them to alt.sources for immediate release and
to comp.sources.unix for wider distribution and archiving. They are:

sampler -- an X3J11 compiler validation suite
mac -- performs X3J11 macro expansion *explaining each action*
bench -- reports clock speed of common C operations

These (especially the first two) are sufficiently hot stuff that I was barely
able to restrain myself from crossposting them right into comp.lang.c. Enjoy!
