i have a coupla questions :

   1. how to read non-buffered input in unix (character/string not
      terminated by C-m) ?

   2. how to disable the interrupts (C-c, C-v, C-d, C-z etc) for my
program and define my own interrupts , so that when invoked
the program can save its status in a way i want, before giving
      up control?

i am going out for couple of days, and our news server would not hold
posts for me to see after a week, so EMAIL PLEASE !!
