small c database

Hello,

I am looking for a small database written in C.
What I really want is to keep track of different type of
problems that concerns unix and to store them for
later use.
I also would like to store data on wich user is on which tty
what terminal he/she uses,printer,room ...
Is there anyone who has written a simple C database that I
can start out with ?
