Looking for [Subset of C] compiler code

Is there anyone who can provide me with a comprehensible code
of a (usable) [subset of C] compiler? The assemby instructions
generated can be fictitious and simple. I would prefer to have
the code in C/lex/yacc/C++.

Sure someone out there must have created such a beast during
their undergrad compiler course.

I want some real simple code that I can modify easily - gnu
stuffs are too time consuming to go thru.

Please e-mail me directly, for I don't read this newsgroup
very often.

Thanks a lot.
