And *I* was under the impression you only had to convince them you
were a student.  The software discount policies go, especially at
Borland, each of these policies may have been in effect one time or
another, or even all three at once!

I recall seeing postings by a guy who claimed to be in charge of
educational software sales for Borland.  Forget his name, but he used
Portal, so you could probably get his mailing address from
cs at portal.com.
