Microsoft QuickC bug?

I have been having a problem with Microsoft QuickC hanging up the system when
I give the mouse a nudge. It seems that unless I remember to move the mouse
first thing after I start the program, I will crash next time I nudge teh
mouse, for any reason.

The QuickC environment is designed to work with a mouse, but it seems not to
register the fact that I have one connected until I move it. If I use the
keyboard before using the mouse, it doesn't seem to know what to do with
mouse input. I've already had to reboot six times today. At present, the
"(ahem) best" solution seems to be unplugging my mouse from the machine.

If anyone here has had the same problem and/or works for Microsoft, need a
quick reply. My hardware/software configuration is:

Unisys Personal System2 (286)
300dpi Microsoft Mouse
Microsoft Mouse Driver v7.04 (5/1/90 revision)
Microsoft QuickC v2.5 (4/6/90 revision)

Thank you.
