need a function (being lazy...)

Hello Netland,

I need a function to calculate the number of days between two dates
(mm/dd/yyyy).

I've seen this sort of function before in various magazines, journals, books,
etc, but never paid any attention to it.  I've look in my resource books but 
didn't find an answer. 

While it seeems that it would be easy to right, I'm hoping that someone
in netland has a copy that they could cut&paste into their mailer and
send to me.

If there is any interest I'ld be happy to forward and replies or post
a summary.

Lacking any response... I'll go it alone. ("But I don't want to worry about
leap years." :-) )
