Highlight bar for spreadsheet

    Can anyone suggest a piece of code (for Microsoft C ver 6 or 5.1)
which will give me a highlight bar for a spreadsheet which I am
writting. The bar needs to be moved from column to column and row to
row. I have written one in assembler and linked it it at the moment but
would ideally preffer to have a microsoft C function to do it.
