ThinkC:How to redirect output (not use console)?

to find in the manual (4.0, that is) how to either redirect the output
to a text file, or to a scrolling window (so that I can see and print
out my homework).  Any solutions, or references as to where to look in
the manual, or Mac Programming Primer (for ThinkC) vol. I, would be
appreciated.
