C intermediate language

Is there any standard intermediate language for C programs?
(Something like Diana for Ada.)  This would be an abstract syntax tree
decorated with semantic attributes like expression type,
point-of-definition, etc.

Are there any tools which create such structures and use them for
browsing, etc.?
