The closing date for submissions to the IEEE/USENIX Fifth Workshop On
Real-Time Software and Operating Systems is near!

The Workshop will be held May 12-13 1988 at the Omni-Shoreham Hotel
Washington, DC

You *must* submit an abstract to attend! This is DIFFERENT
from other, USENIX only, workshops. Donner tells me he'll
accept abstracts via e-mail. I'm interested in getting a good
USENIX showing in this first, cooperative effort.

This year's workshop broadens the scope to include general real-time
systems. This workshop will bring together researchers, designers,
and implementers of real-time operating systems and software. Workers
from industrial organizations are especially encouraged to attend.
The format of the workshop will be geared to encourage intense
technical interactions and focussed discussions.

Attendance will be limited to between 75 and 100 active workers in the
field. To participate in the workshop, please submit four copies of
an extended abstract or position paper of up to 5 pages describing
your current efforts to either of the Program Chairmen by
March 1, 1988. The abstract should focus on insights and lessons
gained from recent research and practical experience.
