Wouldn't it be nice (BSD port)

Forrie basically sez:
since BSD is so available it would be nice for a port.

I've _thought_ about this, too, so I downloaded the BSD 4.3 (tahoe) dist-
ribution to my U's unix host (tamuts). Here I created a listing of the
contents of the tar file. This listing is some 66k+ bytes - there is
a _lot_ of source code here. Of course, the 8 or so megabytes of decom-
pressed source contains code for vaxes, also.

Just seeing this source file listing is intimidating. And honestly, I'm
puzzled by the sheer number of files - I don't now where to start.

However, if anyone else has noticed, Dr. Dobb's Journal started a long
series of articles back in January about porting BSD to the 386. I have
the first article only, but I think if anyone wanted to do the UPC port,
the DDJ's articles are a must.

I do not believe _I'm_ the person for this - I don't have the time, but
if I did and I had the knowledge, I'd work on this. Hmm, maybe during
the summer I'll...
