That stupid async_main again!

Way back when, I asked if anyone else was using the TEK-emulation copy
of async_main (from the STORE!). I'm trying to make this thing go
back and forth between text (VT100) and graphics (TEK4014) modes.
There were no replies the first time, so this warrants a second post.

Well, the help screens tell that a ^_ sent from the host will switch
to TEK mode. And indeed, it does. To switch back, it claims, a ^R
must be sent. Well, I send the ^R, and nothing happens. Not a thing.

I'm running this thru a serial port (known 8-bit channel) at 9600 baud
to our VAX. It isn't the speed; it fails at any speed all the way
down to 300 baud. The 3b1 is running vanilla 3.51 with fixdisk 2.
No other fixes of any sort have been done to this machine.

Anybody out there willing to spend a bit of time with adb to figure
out what's going on here?

Thanks!
