Just received a call from Larry Racies lamenting the demise of the HD on his
3B1. The good news is that Larry has located a *LARGE* quantity of brand-new
Miniscribe 6085 hard drives in factory sealed cartons, in cases of four (4).

The price for each drive is $250; the "catch" is the drives are ONLY available
in cases of four (at $1,000 per case) from the vendor Larry located.

Larry only needs one 6085. Don Lashomb has opted for one, also, leaving two
drives available from the case Larry and Don wish to buy.

If you want to get in on this deal, call Larry ASAP at (212) 243-5950 (that's
in New York, EDT). If there's interest in more than the two remaining HDs in
the case that Larry and Don wish to buy, Larry will give you details regarding
the other cases of HDs.

Please contact Larry directly; I'm posting this on Larry's behalf and have no
other information than what I've posted above.

For those new to this newsgroup and/or otherwise unawares, the Miniscribe 6085
is the "67MB" drive used in the large 3B1 systems (the ones with the "hump" in
the case beneath the monitor). It is an ST-506, MFM, drive with 8 heads, 1024
cylinders, and 28 mS avg. seek time. A WD2010 is *NOT* needed to use the 6085
drive in your system; clearance for a full-height HD *IS* needed if you wish
to mount the drive internally.
