386 upgrade for PC6300..

PC mag recently reviewed 386 add-in boards for XT's.
One of these boards, the PC Elevator 386 does not
replace or depend on the host processor. Thus it
should work on a 8086 machine.
Has anyone in netland tried this? Inquiring minds want to know.
