Computone smart card

Recently I switched from Microport V/386 to AT&T 386 UNIX. I have a
Computone AT-8 and AT-4 smart serial card, 8 and 4 ports respectively.
The driver for the card came in two flavors, V/386 and ISC UNIX/386.
When I checked with Computone they had not yet gotten things worked
out for AT&T 386 UNIX because the installation procedure was "so different".

I don't think the procedure is so different, nor would anyone who reads
this group, but I'm still stuck with COM1 and COM2. My gut instincts
tell me that I should take the Driver.o that they provide for uPort or
ISC (I haven't looked to see if they are the same size, they should be)
and wrap an AT&T style install around it (idbuild, idmake, etc.). I
didn't do that because the new driver was going to be available Real
Soon Now, but that has been a month.

Has anyone set up a Computone card to work with a WGS 6386 or clone
using AT&T 386 UNIX? If so, would you share the "wrapper"? If not,
can anyone think of a reason why the V/386 or ISC Driver.o would not
work with the appropriate entries in the AT&T directories/files?
