Tuning your UNIX PC to utilize more memory [ktune(7)]

There is no mention of changing the tunable parameters using the ktune
command when you change the configuration of memory in your UNIX PC. This
is unlike the 3B2 line where you are instructed to modify the
/etc/master.d/kernel file and adjust the tunable parameters according to
their "chart" of memory configurations.

The chart in the manual AT&T UNIX PC UNIX System V User's Manual Volume I,
under ktune(7) says:

---------------------------------------
parameter	Minimum value	Default
---------------------------------------
nbuf 25 100
ninode 80 400
nfile 80 300
nproc 30 100
ntext 24 75
nclist 32 150
npbuf 4 16
ncall 16 32
nttyhog 0 1024

The manual states that if you change these values to "unusable" ones for
your memory configuration, the UNIX PC will changes these (either increase
or decrease, accordingly) depending on your memory configuration during
bootup sanity checking. Basically that means you can't mess them up and
get a unbootable /unix.

If someone can suggest changes to these for different memory configurations
from 2MB to 4MB in .5MB increments this will be very useful!
