How to NOT logout TERMINAL in Windows 386

	I'm running Windows 386 on my AT&T 386 WGS, and I'm using
	the VT100 terminal emulator that comes with windows to
	access UNIX via Datakit.  But when I end Windows, it
	always disconnects my session and leaves me logged out
	from my session and I get the DESTINATION prompt.  
	
	Although I probably won't need to leave windows very often during
	the workday, sometimes I have to in order to run certain DOS
	applications.  And it is inconvenient to have to log in
	again and again during the day.
	
	Does anyone know how to leave windows without trashing
	my comminications to UNIX????
