I thought this might be of general enough info to post.
It seems that Congruent Technologies of Austin has been
bought out by or is now in association with O/E Distribution, Inc.
of Troy Michigan. I feel this lends credit to Congruent Tech. Anyway,
on page 116 of the September issue of UNIX World the ad show that
they offer hard disk along with other products.

	Names and addresses follow.

O/E Distribution, Inc. Congruent Technologies, Inc.
3290 Big Beaver Suite 200	9065 Jollyville Rd.
Troy MI	48084 Austin, TX 78759
	313-649-0540 512-346-4761
	800-762-7222

On another note, the question about 3b5, 3b15's and 3b20's.

the 3b5 is a mini, unlike the "desktop" 3b2 line, these are
"floor" models, the 3b15 is a super-duper 3b5, with all the
options on it, it's like or better a vax 11/780. the 3b20 is
used with 5ESS Digital switch, I don't think it's used for anything
else, but I'm sure it could be.

maybe 3b2fst!randy (now ocrjd!randy) could fill us in on the
	particulars if you specfiy them

Subject: Mailx problem

I just restored SysV R3.1.2 and now no longer get notified when there's
mail for me. What's worse is that mailx doesn't use a pager any more,
despite the fact that I have
	PAGER=/usr/local/bin/less
in my environment! Should I put it into .mailrc as well?

Subject: A request for information
From: hoptoad!quaduk!graham (Graham Glen)

People, forgive me please if I am going over old ground, but I have only
recently started to receive this newsletter.

I have two questions.

1.	I am thinking (when I can find some free time) of writing a code
generator for the GNU C compiler to suit the WE32k chipset. But, I
don't really feel like doing it if someone else has done it.

2.	On one of our 3B's here, I have a National Intstruments GPIB card.
This card is used to drive a 9 track tape deck, and has been
operating reliably for 2 years now. Unfortunately all my attempts
at getting some information out of National Instruments about the
low-level interfaces (software) to the card have failed, because of
which I cannot turn my code into a device driver. Has anybody else
	had any success?

I think you've missed the point on the balance of this discussion.

The 3B20D is used on the #5ESS, but that is but one of its uses.

And this was one of the first places it appeared because it is a
PRE-Divestiture computer. AT&T was NOT allowed to sell it commercially.

In addition to the 3B20D there is also the 3B20A (Adjunct) ((Ever wonder how
calling card calls were processed?)) and the 3B20S (Simplex)

The 3B20's have seen sometime in the Federal Arena; but as a commercial
offering, AT&T has made available only the lower end of the line. 3B2, 3B5,
3B15 and now the 3B4000. All of commercial offering uses the WE320XX line of
mpu.

Sounds like your .mailrc in your home directory got munged ... but
the answer to your question about using less as a pager is:

in your .mailrc have the following line:

set PAGER=less

or if less is not in your path, then use

set PAGER=/the/full/path/name/to/less

Questions ?
