cu on a 3b1 is SLOW

There is a public version of cu (called CU) which uses dial(), 
located on alphacm, a BBS site which also accepts anon-uucp. 
It has the 'read one char.... write one char' loop which IS very
slow.  A note about CU: it has been modified to accept xmodem/ymodem
transfers, so it is very useful to those who call BBS sites.

I also have the HDB version, and it flies in comparison.
