Trouble compiling dbz

Has anyone had any luck compiling " dbz " on an 3B2/310
running SVR3.2 with the following :

Advanced C Utilities: Issue 4 Version 1
C Programming Language: Issue 4 Version 2
Extended Software Generation Utilities: Issue 4 Version 1
Software Generation Utilities: Issue 4 Version 2
System Header Files: Release 3.2

I am sure that it will compile on other than this
system flavor. When attempted here, I get the following
results:

undefined first referenced
 symbol in file
main /usr/lib/fp/crtl.o
ld fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to a.out

I am NOT a "C" programmer, just the administrator. Any help
would be appreciated. ( As well as any notes about trying to
install Cnews in the above system ) I am familiar with Bnews
so it is the compiling troubles that I would like to be warned
about.
         Thank-you for your time;
                                  Eric
