Here are the steps to making changes to the UN*X kernel for the AT&T
3B2:

1. Edit the /etc/master.d/kernel file, make changes as appropriate.
2. Change directory to the /boot directory and type:
	mkboot -k KERNEL
3. Change directory to the / directory and make a copy of the current
version of the kernel, just in case. For example,
	cp /unix /Ounix
4. Shut the system down to firmware mode and enter:
	/etc/system
as the name of the program to boot from. This will then cause your
changes to be incorporated into the kernel.

In /etc/system, you may find entries such as:

INCLUDE:MAU
INCLUDE:IDISK
.
.
.

etc,

make sure that a file, similarly named, exists in /boot. If not, then
comment out or delete the reference in the /etc/system file.
