AT&T PC6300 mono screen color display

My mom is having some problems with her PC6300 and i was wondering
if someone else within could provide some help.

First off, she is constantly having Floppy disk problems, the drives
have both gone out at differant times, and the mother board was
replaced when the controller went out. Is this normal for the PC6300
(or Olivetti M2)?

Second, she just got it back from the servicing center (AT&T
authorized i believe) and now she is unable to read some of the
text on screen when she uses Multimate. It had been working fine
at one time, when the machine went into the shop and when it came
back, some of the text was a little fainter, but still readable.
The last time it came back, she can not make out some of the text.
When she runs the Customer Diagnostics, there is a part that displays
16 colors, but the first three are not visible (they are black),
is this normal? At first the service center said it was not normal,
but it was because they had upgraded the motherboard and there was
a new BIOS version on there. They claimed the Diagnostics were not
compatible with that ROM level. When the replaced the ROMS with
the old version, the Diags still did not display the first three
colors and then they started saying that that is normal, you can't
see them. What gets me is that it used to work. Is it true that
the first three colors on a monochrome screen are not displayable?
If they are supposed to be displayable, how would she prove it to
them? Why would Multimake slowly stop working with the PC6300
screen. Is there someone at AT&T that she can speak to concerning
the problems she has been having with one of their authorized
service centers? The service center claims they have changed out
everything, but since she only uses it for Multimate, the machine
is useless right now.

If anyone can help, i would really appreciate it greatly. Thanks.
