memory expansion in att 6310

A colleague has an ATT 6310 with only
512K memory. Is the board large enough to
handle the full 640K ? What chips would
he need to expand? 

Someone told him he needed to change BIOS
chips to upgrade from DOS 3.2 to 3.3 (primarily
so that he can run an 80 MB HD). Is this true?
