command line options for "cc"

can anyone out there give me the command line option for the "cc" command
to make the driver "think" it should use another assembler instead
of /bin/asm68k (or whatever)? does this make sense? no? okay, from the top...

a friend of mine has an IRIS (lucky dog), a "baby" one (ie. 68010, 1 engine),
and would like to know what the command sequence to "cc" is to
0) make the compiler generate 68020 code instead of 68010 code
1) use the 68020 assembler instead of the 68010

that's about as much i could glean from his demented ravings. i don't own
an iris, but i do have access to the net, so does anyone out there have
the answer?
