     Regarding inexpensive molecular-modeling software, as requested by
BUG at SWARTHMR -- we use QUANTA by Polygen, Inc. on our Iris 4D/70's.

     The package has its roots at the University of York, UK, and is
integrated with Polygen's CHARMm software, permitting minimization using
constraints, conformational searches, and structure comparisons.

     QUANTA is available to academia at low cost, but I don't know the
