Drum Roll Please...

I am pleased to Announce that the new and improved, latest and
greatest version of the Panel Library User Interface Toolkit for the
Silicon Graphics Iris is pretty much ready, and will be sent upon
request beginning in April. (no fooling!)

The Panel Library provides sliders, buttons, and other mouse-sensitive
Actuators whose values may be read and set from within your graphics
program. The Actuators are on movable and resizable Mex windows
called Panels. The applications programmer may designate Action
Functions that are executed when the user clicks on particular
actuators. The Library accepts user-defined actuators and provides
other nice features like journaling mouse events to script files on
disk, and dumping its configuration as compilable C code.

Present users of the Panel Library know all that though, and are
probably more interested in...

    New Features for this Release:

	A detailed Reference Manual,

	An improved beveled 3D look,

	Support for hierarchies of actuators,

New actuators including menus, icons, frames, and scrolls,

	An interactive Control Panel Editor,

	    ...And of course, numerous bug-fixes.

The Panel Library is written in C, and makes extensive use of the Iris
Graphics Library.

The Panel Library is in the public domain, it may not be resold or
relicensed. Modified and enhanced versions of this software are
likewise to be made freely available. Sites using the Panel Library
are requested to register with NASA.
