ftp, ftpd wanted for Iris 4D

Does someone have a new version of ftp and ftpd that has been
properly ported to the Iris 4D?  The one that came with our IRIX
3.1C appears to be rather old and broken:
	version 4.147 Nov  5 1988 12:18
Is IRIX 3.2 available now?  Does it have a newer ftp/ftpd?  Or if they
are already in 3.1G, would it be possible to upgrade just those two?

I have the current ftpd from uunet, but I'm getting tired of fixing
things when I'm not really familiar with the program.  Right now,
in my almost-vanilla port, I get core dumps from a null password and
from 'dir', and 'mget *' doesn't work -- you need to use 'mget ./*'.

If anyone has ported the uunet versions to the Iris and has them working
consistantly, please let me know.
