mailbox flag flunks on LONG login sessions.

I log in for days at a time, and I have noticed that the mailbox program
does not raise it's flag to announce new mail after 12-24 hours or so.

I usually let tcsh clue me in to new mail, but someone may want to know about
this at sgi.
