Problem with rectzoom()

I'm having a strange problem with rectzoom().  I compiled a program
on one of our PI's and the rectzoom call works fine.  Running (not
compiling) the same program on another PI results in the rectzoom
call being ignored.  Are there differences amongst PI's that would
cause that?  Thanks for any help.
