Gl Mystery Show Stoppers

Here is a problem that causes the gl to crash without any clue.
No core dump, just syslog fills up with megabytes of grcond blather.

If you have an unterminated vertex call, say, bgnline(), and then
call rectf()... Lights out. No clue.

While it is clearly not nice to mix old style and new style drawing,
I would assume that the old style drawing commands use the new style
calls inside them. Apparently, the code is so radically different between
the calls that they can't exist within each others scope.

Anyway, after hours and hours of tracking down the the problem, I would
like to bring this to sgi's corporate attention that this simple
programmer error should not stop the show. A polite message will do.

Cheers!

dan.
