image processing packages for SGI ?

You were not specific in your request for image processing software,
but here are two Geo Science related packages that I had a hand with.

IRAF (Image Reduction and Analysis Facility) from the National Optical
Astronomy Observatories.  "IRAF is a general purpose software system
for the reduction and analysis of scientific data.  The IRAF system
provides a standard set of programs for general image processing and
graphics, plus an extensive selection of programs for the reduction
and analysis of astronomical data.  In addition, the IRAF system is
highly extensible."  It is anonymously ftpable from iraf.noao.edu
(140.252.1.1).

The second package is the commercial package EASI/PACE from PCI Inc,
50 West Wilmot St, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada L4B 1M5,
(416) 764-0614.  It's focus is on remote sensed images of the earth. 
The base system is the user interface and the core image
analysis programs.  Addition modules that are purchased separately
include: Image Analysis Kernel, Mulispectral Analysis, Geometric
Correction, Geographic Applications, Terrain Analysis, Vector
Digitization, Vector Edit, Tape I/O, Color Hardcopy, Frequency
Transforms, Programmers Toolbox, Software Link Packagess and Radar
Analysis Packages.
