Hi!

I have kind of an urgent problem here, our SGI is dying fast. Our
local tech guy just disassembled our unit and diagnosed a failing
switching PS. We have no docs on the PS and I was wondering if any of
you guys knew where we could get a PS and/or docs?

We do not have a maintenance contract any more ($$$) so we are trying
to help ourselves.

Here is what we do know:

machine: SGI 4D/70GT
age: ~2-3 years
Serial number: 11714
country of origin for PS:	Germany (?)
manufacturer of PS: Mighty Mite-A (?)
misc. info. off PS: 115v 30A input
				BAUART
				GEPRUFT (umlaut on U)
				TUV	(umlaut on U)
				1000W
				5v 200A
				12v 20A
				5.2v 5A
				12v 5A (-12v maybe?)
				7" (18 cm.) W
				5" (12.5 cm.) H
				12" (31 cm.) L

Of course, we would also like data sheets, schematics, (a CRAY YMP of
our own,...), etc.

The symptoms include: a medium-high pitched ringing and video problems
(ripple and video detritus -- windows leave bits after they've gone &
scrolls are not clean)

Any E-mail to: peter at epoch.geol.scarolina.edu
