g++ for Irix

This question keeps comming up, but I haven't seen an answer
posted yet, soooo..

Can someone describe what you need to do to get g++ running
on Irix 3.3?

	What version of gcc is needed?
	Are the OFS patches needed?  What version?
	What other changes are necessary?
	and, of course, where to get all the relevant patches.

If somone is willing to post their notes, it would surely benefit
a lot of people out there!   Thanks,
