syslogd (how to redirect messages)

I would like to have all my ftpd logging in a file different from
/usr/adm/SYSLOG. So I modified /etc/syslog.conf the following way:

kern.debug |/usr/adm/klogpp	/usr/adm/SYSLOG
ftpd /usr/adm/ftpd.log
*.debug;kern.none	|/usr/adm/grcond.filt	/usr/adm/SYSLOG

I did "killall -HUP syslogd", "touch /usr/adm/ftpd.log", but it didn't work.
Any hints?

	Thanks to all,
	valter
