Someone recently sent me two old digests from volume 3, just in case we
didn't have them in the archive (actually, I believe that we do have all
the issues on tape somewhere, but it was still a nice thing for him to
do).  When I looked over them, I found a very interesting message from one
Mike Caplinger that really took me back (this is from v3n4):

It's my opinion after a few years of using Suns that if you have to do any
swapping at all, you're going to lose.  One meg machines have to do a lot of
swapping in normal use, while two meg machines don't.  The performance of a
one meg diskless machine is, as you say, mediocre.  Two meg diskless
machines do pretty well.  In fact, I was amazed by the difference.
