what is the delay?

Hey Folks,

What's the delay?  

I posted an article on:

    Date: 30 Mar 89 04:14:21 GMT

And it appeared: 

    Original-Date: Wed, 8 Mar 89 09:04:53 -0800

I'm an old man now!   :-)
I'd expect this amount of turnaround time in an IBM newsgroup,
or  even a NASA newsgroup, but not a cutting edge newsgroup like Sun!

I used to go to this news group as a quick first source of information,
now it's a last resort.

What's the deal?
I guess I'll find out when this appears sometime next month.

not my only job responsibility.  I manage as best I can.  I am currently
working on several things that should alleviate the turnaround time.  I'm
truly sorry, but there's not much that I can do about it that I'm not
already doing.  Look at it this way:  I bet it's still faster than the Sun
