update on printing problem

In a recent message, I described a problem printing files via ftp to
Clarkson telnet.  I have solved the problem by using the NCSA version of
telnet.  Apparently there is a problem handling the printer in the
Clarkson version that is not present in the official version.  At first, I
was still having problems with the NCSA version, but I found that it was a
problem with the behavior of ftp on the originating host, not with
NCSA_Telnet.  I was trying to pipe a file to ftp to be delivered to the
printer on the PC.  Apparently, this is not well supported in SunOS 4.0.3.
There was (I think) a description of this feature in the 4.0.1 man page
that was removed in 4.0.3.  -David-
