|
|The 4.0.3 upgrade tapes include /export/exec/sun3 and
|/export/exec/kvm/sun3 but do not include /export/exec/kvm/sun3x. You have
|to get a "4.0.3 Install" tape to get the files that reside in /usr/kvm on
|the 3/80 - programs that understand the 68030's MMU is different than
|Sun's MMU for the 68020.
|
|The files that are missing are:
|	/usr/kvm:
|eeprom	ld.so	ldconfig libkvm.a	libkvm.so.0.2	libkvm.so.0.3
|ps	pstat	sun3x vmstat
|	/usr/kvm/boot:
|hostname ifconfig init kadb mount sh vmunix vmunix_small
|	/usr/kvm/mdec:
|bootsd	bootxd	bootxy	installboot	rawboot
|	/usr/kvm/stand:
|boot.sun3	copy	tpboot.sun3

>From what I understand, its not a special tape you need, just the standard
4.0.3 release tape for a sun-3x. Then on your server you install it using
'setup_exec'. (there is a man page on it.) and it knows what to do. This
is how you set up a server for any foriegn architecture (heterogenous
server).
