nfs bug trashing system mailboxes under 4.0.1 ?

I've received quite a few messages (even as far as Australia) about a NFS
bug trashing system mailboxes (that we're still experiencing).  Does
anyone knos of the name of the patch tape (if any) that would fix it ?
I've also heard from people using 4.0.3 still experiencing this kind of
problem.

Any pointers will be much appreciated.
