what is LOST LINE (LOGIN) in uucp?

We are running SunOS 3.5 on a 3/260, with a TB+ and a 1200 baud modem.  It
seems like we have LOTS of LOST LINE (LOGIN) messages logged into our uucp
logfiles.

Somebody told me that it meant that at the time our modem dialed out, we
also received an incoming call, therefore uucico lost the line.  It seems
to be happening too often to be just that co-incidence.

Can anybody shed some light on this?
