Moderator changes status

I have undergone change of status that will very likely have an impact on
Sun-Spots. I have taken a leave of absence from my graduate studies to
give me some time to reflect on life. In the meantime, I have taken on a
job within Rice's computer science department. This can only mean good
things for Sun-Spots, since I am now supposed to be doing this moderating.
Before, I was taking time out from my graduate studies to put together
digests. Now it's part of my job (a small part, mind you).
I hope that this will give me the time to get caught up and stay caught up
with the tremendous amount of traffic that this list sees. I was caught
up for awhile, but December activities (including SUG) got me behind
again. I will also be spearheading an effort to start a separate sun
sources list. This will take away part of my current Sun-Spots related
load, giving me more time to concentrate on the messages. Be watching for
an announcement about this change soon.
Some of you may have noticed that I have made a few mis-statements in the
recent past. My apologies for these mistakes. I promise to be more
careful in the future.
I hope that I can continue to live up to everyone's expectations and
desires. I realize that the slow turnaround time is a big concern, and I
am making it my top Sun-Spots priority.
