The manual/textbook for the package "Mathematica" states that the kernel
is written in an "object-oriented extention of the C langauge." (page 498,
at the top). does anyone know whether this is C++?

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who is using the package, in
particular bugs, features not mentined in the book, etc. I've found a
very small (two) number of bugs, including an example that doesn't work.
