Problems with dialin/dialout on a Sun386i (again/st

I followed the discussions about getting a serial port on the Sun386i to
allow dialins and dialouts with great interest. Unfortunately, that
interest hasn't helped: If I turn on ttyd0 in ttytab it ties up cua0,
effectively disabling any dialouts. Here's how things are set up. Perhaps
someone can point out the error of my ways...

The device files:
crw--w--w- 1 root wheel 12, 0 Dec 19 20:34 /dev/ttyd0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 12, 128 Dec 20 10:29 /dev/cua0

The /etc/ttytab file:
console	"/usr/etc/getty -n std.9600"	sun on	secure
ttyd0	"/usr/etc/getty D2400" dialup on
ttyp0	none network off	secure

The configuration file:
device zs0 at obmem ? csr 0xFC000000 flags 0x2 irq 9 priority 6

I'm using a Hayes Smartmodem 2400. Perhaps I've configured it incorrectly
but it has been handling UUCP and tip for months with no problems.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

P.S. If you don't like the return address the mailer provides, send mail
to kovar at husc4.harvard.edu and it'll get to me. Thanks.
