how fast is the Zilog 8530 (ttya+tt

We're planning to connect a 24 page/min DataProducts Postscript laser
printer to either the /dev/ttya or /dev/ttyb port on our 3/280. The
printer supports line speeds up to 57,600 bps (though the documentation is
vague about exactly how fast its serial port can go). "man 4 termio"
indicates that tty devices can be set to up to 38,400 bps.

Just exactly how fast can the Zilog 8530 go? In other words, if we set it
to 38,400 bps, will it actually pump bits out to the printer that fast?

Thanks,
Mike Khaw
