Someone else has also written a SunView driver for Ghostscript: it should
be included in the next release (version 1.3, due out around mid-May).
This release is also scheduled to include provisions for writing out
bitmap renderings in any file format you want.  Ghostscript will construct
the bitmap in memory: you provide the output program (in either C or
P*stScr*pt) to write the file.  I imagine people will contribute programs
pretty quickly to write some popular file formats such as Sun raster files
and TIFF.  Obviously, you can use the standard clipping and transformation
facilities to get any part of an image at any resolution you want.
