SUN dies while running rarpd

We have a couple of SUNs (3/60, 3/50, and a SPARCstation 1 all running
SUNOS 4) running rarpd for the campus.  Every day or so, the SUNs lock up,
although not completely.  If you are running X, you can move and open
windows, but you can login or do anything else.  If we leave top running,
when they lock up, we see rarpd using about 98% of the cpu.  Is this a
know bug?  Is there a killer rarp packet?  Our other SUNs, not running
rarpd, have no problems.
